2009 Collins Fold Out Road Atlas Britain

Collins, expert road map providers for thirty-five years, has developed a revolutionary new map, the Fold Out Road Atlas 2009. A bestselling format in Europe, Collins is the first publisher to introduce this style of atlas to the UK. Compact and easy to use, it retains Collins popular easy-to-read large scale in practical storage size, fitting easily into any glove box. This new format atlas is launched today.

It’s bigger on the inside than the outside - a bit like Dr Who’s Tardis. The atlas is divided into clear, easy to use colour coded sections to help you find the scale best suited to your requirements. The neat, easy to handle, portable format is ideal for use in the car and easy to store on the bookshelf. Despite the compact size of the atlas each mapping page folds out to reveal a large area of mapping at a scale of 3.2 miles to 1 inch. The handy spiral binding means that the atlas lies flat and can be folded back on itself for ease of use.

2009 Road Atlas Britain range

Combining the traditional features of a road map with the benefits of sat nav, the new 2009 Road Atlas range includes postcodes for places of special interest to be used alongside the latest navigation technology. Other features include town centre street plans, high risk road mapping (supplied by EuroRAP, experts in road safety), world heritage sites, green fuel stations, speed cameras, route planning and urban approach maps.

The Fold Out Road Atlas 2009 is one of five new road atlases launched today in a striking new yellow livery, along with the Easy Read, the Big, the Essential and the Handy.
