Collins Bartholomew will participate in ESRI's annual International User Conference in San Diego, on 4-8 August. This is a truly massive event on a geeky par with Glastonbury, except all the tickets are sold out! The conference brings together more than 14,000 professionals and GIS users from over 120 countries who work with, or are interested in GIS solutions for their organizations or communities.
Graham Gill, our cartographic evangelist, will be spreading the word that GIS alone suffices for no man in his presentation paper titled ArcMap and “The Greatest Book on Earth”. He has also been elected to sit on the panel of judges that will determine the best maps produced using ESRI software. As well as attending presentations and workshops, Rob Schouppe and John Allen will have an exhibition stand with a Promethean interactive whiteboard and a presence in the Cartographic section. Importantly John will be defending his 5K ‘Fun’ Run title from last year’s event.
ESRI will be using both our London mapping and world maps to create huge wall hangings around the exhibition halls and have asked for special rights to show our mapping at their other of the events around the globe.
