Inspiration to Installation: Vintage Maps from Surface View

Surface View uses extraordinary imagery such as the Vintage Maps to create dramatic interior graphics. From bespoke murals to canvas prints, ceramic tiles to Formica laminates they can utilise the stunning images to produce unique decorative solutions.

Their
Vintage Maps collection features carefully selected images from the Collins Bartholomew Historic Map Archive. All the imagery is lovingly digitally re-mastered, with great care taken to respect the character and ‘age worn’ beauty of the original.

Inspiration to installation
From sourcing reproductions and design to creating individually made prints and expert installation.

......................Images taken from the latest Surface View Handbook
Bespoke murals are supplied to hang just like conventional wallpaper, the images are enlarged to the full wall size, the graphic are produced in sections to make it easy to manage the installation.

Canvas Prints are printed on high quality artist’s canvas and stretched over a 36mm deep softwood timber frame, supplied with exhibition style flush mount fixings to help hang the frames.

The partnership with Formica allows Surface View to produce any of their images as a very resistant Formica laminate product, the laminates are often used for shower units, but also have applications as kitchen splashbacks or table tops.
