The World at Your Feet Playground World Map

Fifteen huge 6m x 8m world maps have been painted onto school playgrounds across the north of Scotland this summer, despite it being the wettest on record.

The Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) initiated The World at Your Feet playground map project.  Our own Collins Geo map data was used to produce the steel stencil templates for painting an outline map of the world.  The project’s aim is to provide an inspirational interactive teaching aid for a wide range of subjects, placing geography at the heart of the curriculum.
